Pull-Apart Pepperoni Garlic Knots

Heat butter and oil in a cast iron skillet over medium heat until butter melts. Add pepperoni and cook until crispy, about 2 minutes. Add pepper flakes and garlic, cooking until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in parsley and chives, then add Parmesan cheese.

On a floured surface, divide dough into 2 pieces. Roll each piece into an oblong shape, cutting into 12 strips. Tie each strip into a knot and coat in the pepperoni mixture.

Transfer knots to the skillet, drizzle with olive oil, cover, and let rise until doubled in size, about 4 hours or refrigerate overnight.

Preheat oven to 425°F. Unwrap garlic knots, sprinkle with Romano cheese, and bake until golden brown, about 25 to 30 minutes.

Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with Parmesan before serving with warm sauce.
