Basic Kombucha
This Basic Kombucha uses water, granulated sugar, and black teabags to create a simple fermented tea drink that you can adjust to your taste over time.

Instructions
- 1.
Bring water to almost boil (do not boil it)
- 2.
Dissolve sugar into the water
- 3.
Take water off of heat and add in the teabags and brew for 4 minutes
- 4.
After 4 minutes, take the teabags out but do not squeeze them as it will leave a bitter taste to the tea.
- 5.
wait for the tea to cool down to room temperature
- 6.
Add two cups of your prior starter (or a bottle of GT's original), the scoby, and your tea into a clean 1 gallon jar
- 7.
Let sit covered with a tea towel (NOT cheesecloth as gnats can get through it) for 5+ days, tasting every day for how acidic you like it.
